Robert Banger

Robert “Bob” Banger of Streamwood formerly of Des Plaines; beloved husband of 34 years to Jill (nee Kluth); loving brother of Jan (Bill) Desmond and Sherry (Don Christiansen) Banger; brother in law of Wendy (Rick) Masino; uncle of David (Melanie), Jay and Misty (Todd) Nanna; great uncle of Alyssa, Joshua, Mia, Dominic, Giada and Milana; son of the late Harold and Marian (nee Gebben); son in law of June and the late Walter Kluth.

Bob loved to spend time with his whole family. He was a graduate of Iowa State University with honors where he received All American Honors as a football player. His number was retired at Maine West, he was an all around great athlete, coached youth sports in Streamwood. He worked for ARC for 34 years and loved to travel.

Visitation Friday, March 2nd from 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd., (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Funeral Saturday, 10:00 a.m. Interment Ridgewood. In lieu of flowers donations to Anderson Animal Shelter 1000 S. La Fox Rd. South Elgin, IL 60177 would be appreciated.
