Ricky M. Romano

Ricky M. Romano, 70, of Elgin, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025. Born July 7, 1955, in Chicago. Rickey enjoyed fishing and was even competitive at one time. He enjoyed traveling the United States with his wife Liz. Rickey was also part of a large online community that participated in “Star Trek Fleet Command” where he built friendships from around the world but above all he was passionate about the Bible and his faith. He will be missed by all. Beloved husband of 30 years to Liz Ruenzel; proud owner of Buster Brown and Graicee; loving son of the late Russell Sr and Lorraine Romano; dear brother of Rosemary (Bob) Darnall, Ron (Karen) Romano and the late Russell (Linda Bronsky) Romano Jr. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory. Memorial visitation 11:00am until time of memorial service 1:00pm on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 S Greenmeadows Blvd, Streamwood.
