Richard "Dick" George Schweers

Richard "Dick" George Schweers, 90, died October 26, 2025. Dick was the beloved husband of Shirley (nee Miller); loving father of Dan (Linda) Schweers, John (Mary Ann) Schweers and Jill (Patrick) Loftus; proud grandfather of Sarah (Eric) Abeln, Rebeccah (Danny) Manson, Benjamin (Stephanie) Schweers, Matthew (Olivia) Schweers, Anneke (Johnny) Miller, Andrea Schweers, Jack Schweers, Eric Loftus, Christopher Loftus and the late Patrick Loftus III; dear great-grandfather of Ava Schweers, Lily Schweers, Norah Abeln, Audrey Manson, Elliot Abeln, Emma Schweers, Caroline Schweers, Sophia Schweers, Sawyer Schweers, Maverick Schweers, Jackson Clark and Jude Miller.

Dick was a former fire commissioner for 20 years and chairman in Estero, Florida. He had worked for Northern Illinois Gas for 37 years. Dick was an ardent Notre Dame fan.

Memorial visitation Tuesday November 4, 9:30am until time of memorial Mass 10:30am at St. Patrick Church 6N491 Crane Road, St. Charles. Cremation was private at Countryside Crematory.
