Richard Salazar

Richard Salazar Jr. 56 of Elgin passed away the morning of July 18th 2024. Rick was the beloved husband to Michelle Salazar for the last 33 years. He was the loving father to three children Ashley(Rorey) Salazar-Garnett, Richard “Ricky” Salazar, and Xavier(Marissa) Salazar. Rick had become the proudest grandfather to Landon, Magdalena, and Sebastian. Lastly, he was the dear brother of Cheryl Goucher, Charlie Alejandro, and Gine Barquero. Rick loved his dogs Max, and the late Fuzzball, Thunder, and Kato in which shall be laid to rest with. He was an enthusiast of sorts from planting to motorcycles, but his favorite of all was being a grandfather and traveling with his wife. Rick has gone now, but through the power of his family and the memories we hold he will not be forgotten.

Visitation Friday, July 26, 11:00am - 5:00pm, eulogies 4:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road) Bartlett. Following services cremation will be private at Countryside Crematory. If you would like to send flowers family would request that you send a plant instead so that it may continue to be cared for in Rick's memory.
