Richard L. Pekala, 83, of Streamwood, IL passed away on August 25, 2025. Rich was born on September 5, 1941 in Chicago, IL to his parents Charles and Helen Pekala. He was a United States Marine Veteran.

Rich is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Evelyn; loving father of Richard, Jr, Jason (Beth) and Brian (Jackie); cherished grandfather of Ellie, Maggie, Carson and Abby; dear uncle to many. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Helen and his brothers Chuck and Kenny.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Countryside Funeral Home, 1640 S. Greenmeadows Blvd. Streamwood, IL. A funeral service will be held the following morning at the Funeral Home, a visitation from 9:00 am until time of service 11:00 am. A private cremation with follow.
