Richard Lorek

Richard C. Lorek, Jr, 69, of Elgin passed away October 9, 2020. Richard was the beloved father of Richard C. Lorek III (Jamie Ramsden); brother of Tom (Terry) Lorek, late Patt Gucciardo, and the late Diana Decker; cherished son of the late Richard C. Lorek, Sr. and Anna (nee Kuzius); he will be missed by his ex-wife Adrene Lorek.

Richard proudly served as an army Veteran. He was a barber by trade, loved truck driving, and was a car enthusiast. He was a true music lover who supported his son’s career in music to the fullest. He was a creative and innovative man who had a passion for applying his talents into building and constructing.

Richard was a people person who got along with everyone. He was a selfless and generous man who had a heart of gold and would go without to help anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by all.

Memorial visitation Saturday, November 7, 3:00pm - 8:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road) Bartlett. Military honors will be held at 5:00pm. **Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a maximum of 25 will be allowed at one time. Masks are required.
