Richard T. Janiec Sr.

Richard T. Janiec, Sr. U.S.Army, Vietnam Veteran; beloved husband of Marion L. (nee, Schwagart); loving father of Richard T., Jr. (Steffanie), Eric W. (Heather), Anthony R. (Gyllermina) and the late Melvin C.; proud grandfather of Joshua (Kaylin), Alyssa, Kyle, Haley, Addison, Jackson, Ava and Aurora; fond brother of Geraldine, the late Edwin, the late Theresa and the late Anthony; also, dear brother-in-law, uncle and friend of many.

Richard worked on the Board of Commissioners at the Streamwood Park District and was a retired from United Airlines after 30 + years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post #57, Elgin.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Countryside Funeral Homes and Crematory, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. The service time is pending. Cremation will follow privately. Richard's cremated remains will be inurned at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date.
