Richard Joseph Hoffman, a resident of Schaumburg for 49 years. Beloved husband of Hyacinth nee Stoinski for 67 years; loving father of Rita Knuefner, Lenore (Barry) Ristow; doting grandfather of Joshua, Nikki, and Brandon; great-grandfather of Jenna; fond brother of Frank Hoffman and the late Virginia (the late John) Schaefer; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Richard was a WWII Naval Veteran. Longtime Chaplain and a member of VFW Post # 2202.
Visitation Friday, July 11, 2014 3:00-9:00pm Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd, (at Barrington Rd), Streamwood. Funeral Saturday, 11:00am. Following the services cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, donations to Honor Flight Chicago, 938 West Montana Street, Chicago, IL 60614 would be appreciated.
