Richard “Rick” James Franz, 45, of Streamwood, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010. Born July 25, 1965 in Erie, Penn. He was the son of Richard and Barbara (nee McCleary). Rick enjoyed working with Computers and watching anything Sci-fi especially Dr. Who.
Survivors include wife Michelle (nee Buras); brothers Mike (Loretta), Greg and Steve Schiller; sisters Cathy (Charles) Pope and Laura (Terry) Gehling; step-mother Marion Franz; 4 nieces, 4 nephews and 2 great nieces and 1 great nephew; and many special pets.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd (at Barrington Rd), Streamwood. Funeral Monday 11a.m. Following services cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Midwest Greyhound Association. Donations may be made to MGA, P.O. Box 338, Sugar Grove, IL 60554.
