Richard (Dick) Dipzinski, aged 80, of Bartlett peacefully finished his life journey Tuesday, June 3, 2014 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.
Dick was born October 31, 1933 in Gaylord, Michigan, the son of Edelphons and Rose (Matelski) Dipzinski. Dick married Barbara Pawletki June 10, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois.
Dick was a member of Laborers Union Local 269. He owned his own road construction company for 25 years called Add-Cut Co., Inc. He served 2 years in the U.S. Army, 18 months in Germany. He loved spending time with his family, tinkering around his shop, deer hunting, ice fishing and golfing.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Barb Dipzinski of Chicago; children, son Richard Edward Dipzinski, daughter Julie Ann (Dan) Zych of Streamwood; granddaughters Stephanie Barbara Zych and Delaney Rose Zych. Brothers John Dipzinski of Ohio; Bernie Dipzinski of Ohio; sisters, Marion Butka of Berkely, Michigan, Tisha Sides of Gaylord, Michigan; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters. Special thanks to the caring staff at Home Instead and Lexington Hospice.
Visitation Friday, June 6, 2014 3-9 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd., (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Funeral Services Saturday, June 7, 2014 9:15 a.m. to St. John the Evangelist Church. Mass 10:00 a.m. Burial Lakewood Memorial Park.
