Rhonda Winterfeld

Rhonda Sue Winterfeld, 64, of Streamwood, Illinois entered the kingdom of heaven on September, 9th, 2021. Born to James O. Leary and Ruth E. (Williams) Leary in Toledo, Ohio. She attended Swanton High school and graduated in '74. Rhonda had two children Melissa and Joshua. She worked for Burroughs Corp which later became Unisys. Rhonda had met her loving husband of 33 years Richard through her brother James. After having their son Richard III, work relocated them to Illinois. They found a perfect little house in Streamwood to raise their growing family. She left her position with Unisys to raise their daughter Sara and be a supportive Military wife.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her brother James M. Leary, father James O. Leary , and mother Ruth Leary.

Rhonda is survived by her husband 1SG (Ret.) Richard Winterfeld Jr.; children Melissa Brown, Joshua (Melissa) Michael, Richard Winterfeld III, and Sara (Andrew) Schau; grandchildren Kayla, Lorelei, Ayden, Joshua Jr.; niece Elizabeth (Domenic) Didonato; aunts and uncles Suzy and Larry Hayden, Richard and Marcy Leary, J.D. and Helen Williams, and Aileen Oglesby

To honor Rhonda’s wishes there will be no services.
