Pastor Edward Richard Franz, 84, of Hanover Park, died January 8, 2016. Beloved husband of Shirline (nee Arnold) and the late Gretchen (nee Hurst); loving father of Jill (Danny) Lee and stepdaughter Christina Brax; doting grandfather of Katherine (Gabriel) Gildner and great grandfather of Charlotte; fond brother of Annie, Robert, Joanne and James.
He was the Pastor of Church of the Comforter for over 30 years.
Visitation Tuesday, January 12, 2015 3:00pm until the time of service 7:30pm at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg. Following services, cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, donations to Journey Care, journeycare.org, or Evangel Church, evangelchurch.cc, would be appreciated.
