Renato Rivera Almaria, 86, of Hanover Park, formerly of Manila, Philippines, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023. An avid Baccarat and chess player, Renato loved watching NBA basketball as well as his grandkids' soccer games. Beloved husband of Myrna (nee Azarias); loving father of Raniel, Reenah (Mike) Hashem, Ria Ann (Grant) Hamrin, and Rio Mia (Agustin) Saucedo; proud grandfather of Evan George, Tyler Rene, Arianna Grace, and Camila; dear brother of Nestor (Edna), Linda (Ray) Hamilton, the late Marcelina (the late Conrado) Mendoza, the late Susana Almaria, the late Armando (the late Soledad), and the late Simplicio (Julie); fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday, January 20 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.), Bartlett. Funeral Saturday 9:45am to St. Peter Damian Church.
