A Memorial Service for Raynold E. Laine, of Lombard will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014, 11:00am at Beacon Hill Retirement Community, 2400 S. Finley Rd, Lombard, IL 60148. All are welcome to attend.
Born August 7, 1920, Ray died April 21, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Martha nee Pentilla for 63 happy years; loving father of Marlene (Ronald) Flaska, Russell (Patty), Pamela (Brian) McNamara, and Carol (Douglas) Gietl; proud grandfather of Jennifer, Chris, Rebecca, Erica, Megan, Katelyn, Molly, Matthew, Allyson, Timothy, and Anna; great grandfather of 10 and his second family, his many friends at Beacon Hill.
Ray was Director of Instrumental Music in Elmhurst for 35 years. He was a WWII Veteran, and a member of the Elmhurst American Legion Post #78. During his retirement years Ray volunteered at his church, Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Friendship Village, and taught computer skills to seniors and PADS volunteer shifts. Ray touched many lives and was a friend to all.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Harbor Light Hospice, 800 Roosevelt Rd., Glen Ellyn, IL 60137, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Burial private. Arrangements by Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, Streamwood, IL. Information 630-289-8054.
