Beloved husband of the late Elaine; loving father of Scott (Kathleen) Davis of South Elgin and Raymond Jr. (Joanne) of Rockford; cherished grandfather of Annie (Jason) Leppin, Amanda (Zachary) Kerruish, Kathleen and Meghan; proud great grandfather of Isabelle Leppin; dear brother of Josephine Berkmire.
A Navy veteran, retired chairman and CEO of World Book Encyclopedia. During his retirement years he opened an antique store in Marshall, MI and traveled the country looking for noble antiques.
Memorial visitation Friday, April 16th 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. with a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 95 S. Gilbert (at Middle St.) South Elgin. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory. 847-289-8054 or www.countrysidefuneralhomes.com.
