Raquel Febles-Gonzalez, 38, of South Elgin, formerly of Ponce, Puerto Rico, Maryland, Naples and Plantation, FL. Raquel was the cherished daughter of Cynthia Gonzalez-Suarez and Rafael Febles-Gonzalez; loving sister of Cynthia Febles-Gonzalez and beloved fiancée of Joaquin Colon for 8 years. Having obtained a Master’s degree in T.E.S.L. with a focus on psycholinguistics and reading difficulties, Raquel had been teaching bilingual special education at Larkin High School since August 2013. She also had a degree in fashion and design. Raquel enjoyed hiking with her sister Cynthia, enjoyed photography and was a foster parent for many years.
