Ram Advani

Ram K. Advani passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in Roselle, Illinois on Monday, August 29, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents, Khubchand and Ratna and his sister Chandra. Ram is survived by his devoted wife, Sushma R. Advani of 48 years and children, Sumit, his wife Richa and Kiran, her husband Nathan (Anderson) and his adored granddaughters Sela (Anderson), Neve (Anderson), and Arya. A generous family man, Ram is survived by his siblings Hiro, Mira, Ramesh, Leena (Khalsa) and Buggie. He was the beloved patriarch of his family and well-regarded member of his community. Ram had a degree in law and worked for 31 years at Roosevelt University in its facilities management team. Prior to immigrating to the United States in 1980, Ram resided in Bombay and was born in pre-partition India. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory located at 950 South Bartlett Road in Bartlett. Visitation, Prayers and Cremation will take place between 11 am and 1 pm. The family would like to express gratitude to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation for their support and in lieu of flowers would appreciate a donation be made in Ram’s memory.
