Rajinder Nayyar

Rajinder Paul Nayyar, beloved husband, father, grandfather passed away on October 19, 2022 at the age of 86. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Neema; children, Rahul (Jin) and Nidhi; and grandsons, Balin and Ketan; along with many friends and family members.

"Rajan” was born on June 14, 1936 in Punjab, India to a large family of 9 children. After a brief time in Ontario, Canada, he came to Chicago in 1967 to teach Anatomy at Northwestern Medical School and later at Loyola University. He and Neema married in 1969 and after their children were born, moved their young family to Elk Grove Village where they ran a successful Pathology lab together for over 15 years.

Rajan also enjoyed painting and collecting art in his retirement. He made life-long friends and was everyone’s favorite family member and uncle. He was known as a humorous man who loved his grandsons, enjoyed life, good food and travel.

A funeral is scheduled for 11am on October 23, 2022 at Countryside Funeral Home at 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road) Bartlett, IL 60103.
