Priscilla “Kris” Artz (nee Kramer), 88, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on April 8th. Kris was the devoted wife to the late Raymond Artz and the beloved mother of William Artz and his wife Nadine Kadus. Sister to Ed Kramer, Bob Kramer, Betty Hootman, and Wayne Kramer. Fond cousin to many and loving aunt and great aunt to dozens of the next generation.
Kris was proceeded in death by her husband Raymond, her parents William and Lena, her siblings Ed, Bob, and Betty, and so many of her good friends. May they rejoice upon their reunion.
Kris was known for her kindness, affability, love, sense of humor, and Christianity. She made sure that everyone got cards or calls from her on their birthdays or special occasions. She loved to make baby blankets, wedding quilts, and holiday trinkets. At one time she made cakes for family and friend’s weddings. In both Michigan and Illinois, she served on American Legion funeral honor guards having most recently been the Junior Vice Commander at post 216 in Elk Grove Village and volunteered at her closest hospital. She was a proud Korean war veteran and flew on the first all-women’s Honor Flight.
