Pratik Pandya

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Pratik J. Pandya.

Pratik, born March 17th 1987 in New York, has faithfully departed at the young age of 35 years old. He was a lifetime academic, a man of both faith and science and someone who truly valued family and community. Professionally, he dedicated himself to cancer research in the loving memory of his maternal grandfather, Pappa (aka his "best friend"), who passed away of pancreatic cancer. Pratik was a tireless worker and relentless in his pursuit of knowledge and all things academia. On a personal level, Pratik enjoyed making memories and sharing laughs with friends, family and three nephews.

Pratik is survived by his parents Jagat & Nita, his brother and sister-in-law Rishin & Sonal and three loving nephews Ariyan, Jahaan & Syon.

Visitation for Pratik will be held at the Countryside Funeral Home, 950 South Bartlett Rd., Bartlett on Wednesday, September 28th from 4:30pm until 6:30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests you consider donating to your cancer research charity of choice or simply send prayers.
