Graveside Service for Phyllis E.Yepsen nee Hall of South Elgin will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023 10:00a.m. at River Valley Memorial Gardens 14N689 Rt. 31 West Dundee.
Born December 16, 1932 St Charles Illinois, she died June 18, 2023.
Daughter of William and Irene (Plote) Rogalski
A 1950 graduate of Elgin High School
She married Roland (Ron) Yepsen on January 26, 1957
She worked as a nurse at Sherman Hospital for many years and retired to Florida where she enjoyed 21 years before returning to South Elgin in 2009 to be near family.
An avid reader, Phyllis enjoyed traveling worldwide, gardening, word puzzles, of any kind but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Rhonda King, of Thornton, Colorado, son Scott (Gina) Yepsen of South Elgin, 5 grandchildren, Tiffany Yepsen, Nikki Yepsen, Crystal (Josh) King ,Coltin King, and Catie Yepsen and was " G.G" to Jayden, Kahli,Bailee, Nova, Gunnar and Mya. She also leaves a sister-in-law , Betty Rogalski of Wisconsin and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was preceeded in death by her husband Ron in 1972, son, Chris in 2012 , brothers David, Dennis, Roger and wife Sandy Rogalski and her nephew Randy.
