Phyllis Maxine Bloomfield is survived by her four children, Anita (Franklin) Baker of West Chicago, Diane Bloomfield of Elgin, Dale Bloomfield of Glen Ellyn and Craig Bloomfield of Arlington Heights; grandchildren John (Katherine) Baker and Alan Bloomfield; stepgrandchildren Andrea Powers and Meghan (Ross) Richardson; sister Betty Bryant of Elkhart, IN and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur “Lyle” Bloomfield; her parents; her sister Beverly Leedy and her daughter in law Sharron “Beth” Bloomfield.
Born January 10, 1926 in Kosciusko County, Indiana to the late Herbert and Ruby (nee Pinkerton) Morgan, Phyllis passed away after a brief illness on October 9, 2013, at Tower Hill Healthcare Center in South Elgin.
Phyllis was a homemaker and avid gardener. She and her late husband, Lyle, owned and managed a number of residential rental properties in the area. Family was most important to her, and she was a devoted wife and mother. Everyone who knew her will miss her smile and sense of humor.
