Philip A. Montalbano, 85, of Schaumburg. Beloved husband of the late Antoinette (nee Coffaro); loving father of Carol (Bob) Chubb; cherished grandfather of Scott and Christopher; dear son of the late Paul and Calloggia (nee Cacioppo); fond brother of Anthony (Margaret) and the late Michael (Evelyn), Virginia (Nick) Armato, Theresa (Henry) Cannella, Joseph (Elva), Mary (Vincent Charles) Gendusa, Leonard (Mamie) and Mamie (Joseph) Przybysz; dear uncle, great-uncle and great-great-uncle to many neices and nephews; and caring friend of many.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a retired Chicago Police Officer of 33 years. Philip loved creating works of art, traveling, reading, playing chess and attending plays and concerts.

Visitation Friday, January 18, 2013 from 3:00 – 9:00p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd (at Barrington Rd), Streamwood/Schaumburg. Prayers Saturday 9:15a.m. going to Church of the Holy Spirit, Mass 10:00a.m. Entombment Queen of Heaven. In lieu of flowers, Masses would be appreciated
