Peter Kippes

Peter J. Kippes Sr., 83 of Streamwood IL entered into Heaven this Friday, March 16th, 2018. Peter was born on June 24th, 1934 in Chicago IL and is mourned by his wife of 55 years Patricia Anne (nee Stacy), his Children; Mary (Charles) Martinez, Peter (Mary Ann), Paul (Casey), Michael (Debra) and Peggy (Randy) Nielsen, His grandchildren Christina, Charles, Steven, Jennifer (Joe) Lownik, Eric, Patrick, Michael, Mariah, Ashley, Alicia (Hayden) Ingersoll, Annie, Sarah, Caitlin as well as his two brothers Denis, Steven and his late brother John.
For 46 years, Peter was instrumentally valuable to the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Streamwood. He was a recipient of the Archdiocese of Chicago-Christifideles Award, He proudly served as a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus and served in the Armed Forces-National Guard.
Peter was a spiritual man of high integrity, who taught people around him the values of perseverance, happiness and humor. As a family member, a business person and a community member, Peter continuously gave of his time to serve others and was always fair and reasonable to everyone in his life.
Perhaps one of Peter’s most notable traits was his relentless perseverance. As a young father of 5 infant/toddler aged children, Peter received his B.S in Business Administration from Northwestern University, by attending evening classes for nearly 10 years.
Peter loved to spend time with his wife Patricia at their summer home in Lake Geneva WI, and treasured celebrations with their extended 25-person family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday March 22, 2018, from 3p.m. to 9p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home 1640 Green Meadows Blvd (at Barrington Rd) Streamwood IL 60107.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018, 9:15 10a.m. Countryside Funeral Home to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 502 S. Park Blvd. Streamwood IL 60107, Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery. For information 630-289-8054.
