Pawan Singla

Pawan Singla, age 83, of Schaumburg, Illinois, passed away on September 10, 2023 surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born on May 15, 1940 in India and immigrated to the United States in July 1970, where he embarked on a remarkable journey filled with achievements and cherished moments. He is the epitome of living the American dream!

Pawan was a devoted husband to his late wife, Shashi Singla, and a loving father to his three children: Vinnie (Dana), Atul "Alex" (Parita), and Terry (Purva). Pawan was a doting grandfather to eight grandchildren: Paige, Brandon, Brooke, Dylan, Kiran, Anaya, Siya, and Arya.

He was a distinguished Mechanical Engineer, graduating from Panjab Engineering College in 1961, and contributed his expertise to several renowned companies, including Environmental Systems Design (ESD) in Chicago. Pawan loved talking about some of his projects which included Rush University Medical Center, Schaumburg Convention Center, Chicago Board of Trade, Northwestern University Main Library, and the Peninsula Hotel. Pawan's dedication and passion for his work left a lasting impact on the field.

Pawan's greatest joys in life were his passion to spend time with his many friends and for travel. He explored nearly 50 countries, creating lifelong memories and fostering a deep appreciation of the world.

Visitation to pay your respects will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory located at 950 S Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd.), Bartlett, IL. Funeral services will take place on Friday, September 15, 2023 from 11:00 am until time of cremation 1:00 pm at the same location.

Pawan Singla will be remembered as a gentle soul and for his enduring love, unwavering dedication, and zest for life. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

In lieu of flowers, Pawan and the family requests that donations be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation at www.komen.org in its fight against breast cancer in memory of Pawan Singla and his late wife Shashi Singla.

His children find comfort to know that their parents, Pawan and Shashi, are back together again
