Visitation for Paul D. Schaefer of Elgin since 1981, will be held Friday, September 2, 2022 3:00 – 9:00p.m. with a wake service at 5:30p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home 95 S. Gilbert Rd. (at State St.) South Elgin. Saturday visitation 8:30a.m. until time of mass 9:30 at St. Mary Church 400 Fulton St. Elgin. Interment St. Michael the Archangel.

Paul is the beloved husband of 43 years of Kathleen nee Golinski; loving brother of John (Joan) Schaefer and Virginia Schaefer; loving brother in law of Michelle(Paul) Steacy and Barnery Golinski; dear uncle of Rachael and Sarah Steacy, Allison (Eric) Heinemann, Andrew Golinski, Erin (Paul) Daniel, Lindsey (Jon) Warner, Natalie (Jacob) Taylor, Duncan and Gillian Munro, Sabrina, Michelle and Danielle Cooke; cherished great uncle of Abby Parker, Lily Taylor, Logan and Aubree Heinemann, Rylee and Stella Golinski.
