Paul Podzamsky

Paul R. Podzamsky, 68, of Hanover Park, died Thursday, September 10, 2009 in Hoffman Estates. Born December 29, 1940 in Chicago. He was the son of Paul and Elsie (nee Chlapecka). Paul was a veteran having served in U. S. Army. A member of Amalgamated Order of Real Bearded Santas, Paul enjoyed being in character year round and served many local business and churches during Christmas time for 15 years. He also enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
Survivors include wife Elaine (nee Fagerberg); children Jeanette (Robert) Dudzik and Steven (Heidi); grandchildren Daniel, Stephanie and Tyler; mother Elsie and brother Donald (Diane).
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 – 8 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd (at Barrington Rd), Streamwood and Monday 9:30 a.m. until time of Service 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 405 S Rush, Roselle. Following services cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Trinity Lutheran Church.
