Paul (Paulie) Lazar, 87, Bartlett, IL (formerly of Hobart, IN) Passed away Oct 28, 2017. Born May 7, 1930 in Canton, Ohio to Eli & Mary (Tzitz) Lazar. Preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Grace, his parents, 5 siblings Victoria, Eli, Nick, Anne (Aydelotte), Vicky (Sliger) & many beloved pets.
Wonderful Uncle to Kathy (Mike) Bloomquist of Palmer, Alaska, Lori (Tim) Larson of Portage, IN, Mike (Chaya) Aydelotte of Demotte, IN, & many great- nieces & nephews who all survive.
Paul attended Hobart High and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a longtime Employee of Sears and a Security Guard at Honeywell, among other jobs. A proud patriot, he was very active in the American Legion and VFW holding many positions during the years. Paul was extremely honored to go on the Veterans Honor Flight this past August of 2017.
Fisherman, Cub Fan, Friend to Many - He was an all around great guy with a twinkle in his eye! Paul’s smile was as big as his heart! He’ll be missed! May God Bless Him Always! Love You Uncle Paulie!
Services will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL Mon, Nov 27, 2017 at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for final expenses would be appreciated. Arrangements and cremation by Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory. 630-289-7575
