Paul R. Chabria, age 87, of La Grange Park, IL passed away on

Wednesday, August 10, 2022. He was an inventor and businessman

who loved people and was passionate about his family. Beloved

husband of Meena Chabria for 64 years, loving father of Raj (Kathy)

Chabria and Mony (Rose) Chabria, and doting grandpa to Jarrad, Claire,

Delaney, and Zoe. Paul is survived by brothers John, Manu, Kani, and

Nat and sisters Rani and Meera. He was preceded in death by parents

Ramchand and Laxmi and brothers Pahlajrai (Dada), Girdhari,

Murlidhar, Bihari, and Ashok. He was the cherished uncle to many

 nieces and nephews.

Throughout his life, Paul was generous, always the first to offer help to

someone in need – a family member, a friend, and even strangers. He

patented many designs during his lifetime, the most notable being a

squeeze flashlight for which he founded a successful business that

lasted several decades. He was always ready to provide a free flashlight

to almost anyone he met! He enjoyed scotch whiskey, automobiles,

and the opportunity to tinker around the house. His exuberance was

contagious and, being very social, he had many friends. His smile

brightened the lives of many and he will live forever in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
