Paul Burge

September 21, 1954 — November 24, 2022

Paul Burge passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2022, at age 68. Paul was born in Evanston to Byron Burge and Valrhea (Feeley) Burge and grew up in Wilmette.

Paul was the beloved husband of Wei Pan-Burge who he considered his soulmate and the true love of his life. He was also the beloved brother of Maryanne Colter; brother in law of Paul and Yvonne Ng, uncle of Tommy Pan (and family), Summer Pan, and Teddy Pan, Wenny Ng Noha (and family), Harold Ng, Jessica Pan (and family). He loved to spend time with family and play golf with his friends. When a stroke limited Paul’s activity, he loved watching sports and old Western movies with his loyal animal companion, Shao Hu, by his side.

Paul spent 36 years on the Palatine Police Department, and was an active member of the Willow Creek Church. With his work as a policeman and as a member of the Willow Creek Security and Care Center staff, Paul was able to live his calling to help others.
