Patricia “Patty” Kraegel, 52, of Bartlett, died Sunday, February 14, 2016 at home surrounded by family. Born February 27, 1963 in Oak Park, IL. Patty dedicated her life to serving others. She was a special education teacher for 30 years in DuPage High School District 88. Upon learning of her illness Patty founded the Patty’s Pals Foundation Ltd. (www.pattyspals.net). Patty was an avid Blackhawks fan and loved spending time with her family, especially her son Dominic. She will be missed by the lives of those she touched. Beloved wife of 20 years to Scott; loving mom of Dominic; cherished daughter of Deanna (nee Falson) and the late Deacon Serafino Molinaro; dear sister of Pamela (Sidney) Rattner, Michael and Joseph Molinaro; caring aunt and godmother to Katelyn Rattner and godmother of Nicholette Jordt and Eddie Brady; fond aunt of Matthew and Mark Sneeden; caring owner of the late Buddy. Visitation 3:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. Friday, February 19, 2016 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Rd (at Stearns Rd), Bartlett where you are encouraged to wear your Patty’s Pals shirts or your favorite Blackhawks jersey. Funeral Saturday 12:15p.m. to St. Walter Church, Mass 1:00p.m. Following the service cremation at the Countryside Crematory. Private inurnment at Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Patty’s Pals Foundation Ltd., in care of the funeral home, would be appreciated.
