Patricia Giese
August 8, 1941 — March 21, 2025
Patricia spent her life as a devoted mother of three children-Laura Machonis (Jim) Douglas Giese (Jennifer) and Greg (Kathy)-and grandmother of three grandsons-Chris, Lane and Necti. She was very involved in St. Pius X Church in Lombard and volunteered for many activities for the parish school as well as the church. Patricia took part in the Lombard Women's Club and was an active participant in local politics. She involved her children in politics at a young age as well, and helped shape them into the people they are today. She was active in the lives of her children, as well as a business entrepreneur in a time when it was difficult for women to achieve such high goals.
She was a market research professional for more-than 30 years and started Dollop Enterprises – a Woman-Owned Business which served the needs of Non-Profits and Small Businesses. While leading Dollop, she also became Senior Vice-President of Home Arts Guild Research Center, Inc. and its subsidiary, Professional Panels, where she served small businesses as well as several Fortune 500 companies. Through her position she also provided employment and mentorship to many other women, including her neighbors, friends, and the friends of her children. Patricia was a role model to others as she balanced being a single mother with running a successful business.
Her greatest joy in recent years was being an active grandmother in the lives of her three grandsons. She enjoyed taking them on adventures, she instilled in them a love of reading and will always be known for bringing her infamous Maymae’s toy bag on her visits. Her calendar was filled with sporting events, music concerts, church events, and many other activities that involved her grandchildren.
She will be remembered as a loving, witty and loyal mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a blessing to all who had the privilege to know her. She will be missed for the bright light she brought with her everywhere she went.
Rest in Peace dear one. You will always be loved and missed.
