Patricia Faulstich

Surrounded by her family, Patricia (Patti) Kay Faulstich, age 71, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2023 at JourneyCare Hospice Facility in Barrington, Illinois.
The former Patricia Gryzwa was born on July 14, 1952 at St. Joseph Hospital in Menominee, Michigan to Frank and Katherine Gryzwa. Patti attended St. Mary’s Catholic Grade School and graduated in 1970 from Peshtigo High School. She was an active member of choir and drama productions while in high school. She loved to sing and was a member of the choir at St. Mary’s Catholic Church for many years.
After graduating from high school, Patti worked at Badger Paper Mill until 1976 at which time she moved to Mount Prospect, Illinois. Patti married Robert Faulstich on August 28, 1982. Together, they were blessed with a daughter, Erin, and a son, Brian.
Patti was an avid Packer fan. She could tell you the names, numbers, and positions of every player. She was a very “vocal” armchair cheerleader during Packer games.
Patti’s pride and joy were her grandchildren, Asher and Brianna. She shared many photos and videos of them with her siblings and friends. Her smile could not have been any bigger or brighter when she talked about them. Patti always enjoyed time with her family and friends. Her laughter and love of life will forever be in our hearts and memories.
Patti is survived by her husband, Robert, children Erin (Jason) Cruz of Springfield, Illinois, Brian (Jennifer) Faulstich of St. Charles, Illinois, grandson, Asher Cruz and granddaughter Brianna Faulstich.
Patti is further survived by her siblings, Theresa (Emil) Esposito of Mount Prospect, Illinois Barbara Hoehne of Phoenix, Arizona Tom (Mary) Gryzwa of Peshtigo, Wisconsin Veronica Christensen of Schaumburg, Illinois Jim (Nancy) Gryzwa of Oshkosh, Wisconsin Brenda (Ross) Hahn of Ripon, Wisconsin And many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Patti was preceded in death by her loving parents, Frank and Katherine Gryzwa.
Her family is thankful to JourneyCare Hospice for the loving care they provided to Patti and her family.
A Celebration of Patti’s life will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 S Greenmeadows Blvd, Streamwood, Illinois. Visitation will be from 10am until noon, with a service to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations in Patti’s name to either of the following, or a charity of your choice: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org St John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois at www.hshs.org
Patti would not want this to end without her favorite saying: “GO PACK GO!” We miss her and will forever hold her in our hearts.
