Patricia Carl

Patricia M. Carl, nee Battello, of Streamwood, resident since 1962, passed away December 20, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Pat was born August 1937 in Seattle, Washington. She was joined in marriage to James Carl in 1957 and to this union was born Dennis(Dru), Mary(Kurt)Jobst, Jennifer(Larry)Roath, Raymond, and step-son Ted(Lisa)Jenkins. She was a grandmother to 14 and great-grandmother of 12, sister to Judith(Don) Gunderson and the late John, and Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Pat was the business manager of the Poplar Grove Library and a library trustee. She was an avid Chicago sports fan, cheering on the Bears and Cubs. While raising her 4 teenage children, Pat managed to graduate college with honors. She had an excellent memory which made her excel at trivia. She was proud of her service in the Womens Army Corp where she played an oboe in the WAC band playing during the inauguration of President Eisenhower. Visitation will be December 27th, 10 a.m. until the time of her service 12:00 p.m.(noon) at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 S. Greenmeadows Blvd.(at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood. Cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory following services.
