God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered, “come to me.” With tearful eyes we watched you slowly fade away, and although we loved you dearly we couldn’t make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best.

Pablo was born in Valparaiso, Zacatecas in Mexico on June 18, 1926. As young man he had traveled to the United States to work. He eventually returned and married Elvira Ortiz. In the years to follow Pablo would travel back to the states, while our mother stayed back in Mexico raising their children. This way of life went on for a while until the decision was made to bring the entire family to live in the United States. Pablo was a hard working man that loved his family. He enjoyed his coffee and anything that was sweet. He lived a long and happy life. However, after the passing of his beloved wife there was a decline in his health. Despite all his health issues and having lost the love of his life, he was a fighter and kept going for his kids. He passed away on Sunday, July 17th at home surrounded by family. The last week before his passing he celebrated with all of his wonderful family. His happy place was seeing his great grandchildren, which if he could not pronounce their name he would simply give them a new name. He was also very proud of the home and chapel he reconstructed in Mexico, which was the home of his parents. He will be missed, but never forgotten.
