Opal Waldman

Opal M. Waldman age 95; beloved wife of the late Paul Tammisto and Donald Waldman; loving mother of Pamela (Bill) Flanagan and the late Marc (K.C.); cherished grandmother of Tara (Jaime) Casas, Kurt Ludwig, Rebecca Mills, Luann Gramlich, Jodi Tammisto and the late Teddy; proud great grandmother of Christina, Nicholas, Cameron, David and Josh; dear sister of the late Donald Allen and Bud Floyd Allen; fond aunt of Michael Allen, Bonnie Allen, Jill Grubbs, Jane Hudson and the late Tom Allen and Dottie Brown; daughter of the late Floyd, Pearl and Joyce.

A proud WWII Veteran she was one of the few women to serve in the Army. Opal was a volunteer at the Hanover Township Senior Center, she enjoyed watching the Cubs and a good game of golf. When working she worked in Civil Service at Great Lakes Naval Station.

Visitation Saturday, November 3rd 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service 1:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home, 950 South Bartlett Rd., (at Stearns Rd.) Bartlett. Following services cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory.
