Octavio Salazar, 31, of Streamwood died Sunday, August 30, 2009 in Elmhurst.
Born January 15, 1978 in Des Plaines. He was the son of Ramiro Sr. and Maria A., nee Saldana.
Octavio enjoyed playing basketball and watching the Cubs and Bears. He especially enjoyed cooking as he was a graduate of Illinois Institute of Art majoring in Culinary Arts.
Survivors include his parents; sisters Isela (John) Calzolaio and Alicia (Nathan) Rosenthal; brothers David and Ramiro and nieces and nephews Marisa, Aaron, Alinea and Leah.
Visitation will be Friday from 3 p.m. until time of service 7p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd, Streamwood. Following services cremation will be private at the Countryside Crematory.
