Norma Kokaska

August 9, 1927 — August 15, 2024

Norma O. Kokaska (nee Gubitz), 97, died peacefully with her Jesus by her side Thursday, August 15, 2024. Born August 9, 1927, in Chicago to Adolph and Olga Gubitz. Norma grew up on the west side and graduated from Luther Institute, married the love of her life, William Kokaska on August 14, 1948. Norma was very social, enjoying plays, playing cards with her many girlfriends and attending Bible Studies at her church. She led many to Christ in her lifetime. She also enjoyed music, reading and crocheting but her biggest passion was always her family and faith. Beloved wife of the late William; loving mom of Bill (Debbie) Kokaska, Norm (fiancé Nancy Schilli) Kokaska and Gayle (Kevin) Meartz; cherished grandma of Jason (Fiancé Angie), Stacey (Chris), Sarah, (Ben), Graham, (Fawn) Austin (fiancé Emily); dear great grandma of Elizabeth, Hailey, Brayden, Ryder, Trenten and Brycen; kind daughter of the late Adolph and Olga Gubitz; fond sister of the late Carl and aunt to many. Visitation 9:00am until time of service 11:00am on Friday, August 23, 2024, at St Peter Lutheran Church 202 E Schaumburg Rd, Schaumburg. Interment St Peter Lutheran Cemetery.
