Prayers for Nicholas F. Schneider, Sr., 74, a longtime resident of Streamwood will begin Saturday 8:45a.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg to Church of the Holy Spirit. Mass 9:30a.m. Interment St. Michael the Archangel.
Visitation will be held Friday 3:00 – 9:00p.m. at the funeral home.
Born September 10, 1935 in Chicago, Nick died December 28, 2009 in Hoffman Estates.
Nick work for American Can in Bellwood as a lithographic stripper and retired after 38 years of service. He enjoyed woodburning, Harley-Davidson and spending time with his family, whom he loved dearly, especially his wife Audrey.
He is the beloved husband of the late Audrey; loving and proud father of Nicholas (Christina) of Streamwood, Bernard (Donna) of North Carolina and Greg of Streamwood; cherished grandfather of Amanda, Rebecca, Nicholas, Heather, David, Tony and Joey; proud great-grandfather of Holly, Angelina, Blake and one on the way; dear brother of Laura of Clarendon Hills, Henry (Linda) of Franklin Park and the late Dorothy (the late Walter) Blake, Robert and Audrey.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to the American Lung Assn.55 W. Wacker Drive Ste 800 Chicago, IL 60601 would be appreciated.
