Natalia Grace Yanez

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Natalia Grace Yanez, a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend, who left us unexpectedly on Saturday, September 19th, 2026. Natalia was born on November 16th, 2006, and graced the Elgin, IL community with her compassionate spirit and unyielding empathy.

Natalia was a devoted student at North Central College, where she pursued her dream of becoming a doctor. She was driven by an unshakeable desire to help others and extend kindness to all creatures. Often found volunteering at local animal shelters, Natalia was a fervent animal lover. Her love for animals was complemented by her vegetarian lifestyle, always striving to live in harmony with the world around her.

Natalia's compassion extended to her involvement as President of the "We Rise" initiative at ECC, where she inspired and led others in making a tangible difference in their community. Her gentle nature, empathetic heart, and boundless enthusiasm for life touched all who knew her.

Natalia is survived by her loving parents, David and Deanna Yanez, her cherished sisters, Alexia and Giana, her adoring grandparents, Phyllis Babiarz, and Alfred and Amy Yanez, as well as her beloved pets Bentley, the dog, and Clover, the cat. She also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, and the Kadolphs who were not simply friends but family.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Gene Babiarz, and their late family pets, Macy, Bella and Potato.

Natalia will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and unwavering commitment to improving the lives of others. Though she departed too soon, her legacy will continue to inspire and guide those she left behind.

A memorial visitation will be held Friday, October 2, 2026 from 10:00am until time of Mass, 11:00am at St. Thomas More Church, 215 Thomas More Dr, Elgin, IL.
