Naomi Drake

Naomi Drake (nee White), 83, of Algonquin, IL died Tuesday, July 25, 2017 in McHenry, IL. Born January 28, 1934 in Lincoln County, Tenn. Naomi retired from the United States Air Force. She was a special education teacher having received her masters from Wayne State University and a retiree of the Detroit Michigan Board of Education. She will be missed by her family and friends. Beloved wife of the late William “Bill”; loving mother of Laurence (Cozetta) and Alecia Drake; cherished grandmother of Landon, Caleb, Zipporah and Jireh; dear great-grandmother of Zylin; caring daughter of the late A.D.and Icie (nee Harris) White and kind sister of John (late Ella) White, Ola (late Frank) Jenkins, Michael White and the late Rosemary. Visitation 6:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 95 S Gilbert St (at State St), South Elgin, IL.
