Nancy Ann Smith (nee Townsend), 68, of McHenry, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026. Nancy was known to enjoy playing Bingo, taking road trips, and visiting amusement parks. Beloved wife of the late James J. Current; loving mother of Gary (Fran) Smith, Holly Smith, Wendi Smith, Larry Current, the late Nick Smith, and the late James Current; devoted grandmother of Alexis Beck, Cassidy Smith, Gage Krok, Savanna Garcia, Mo Garcia, and Aubrie and Lilli Rodriguez; proud great grandmother of Costas Nick; dear sister of Patricia (the late William) Pinkstaff, William (Sylvia) Townsend, Virginia (Lawrence) Johnson, Betty (Robert) Vargas, Jaime Townsend, and the late Pamela (Chuck) Kilgore; fond aunt of Amanda (Joe) Robertson and many nieces and nephews; favorite cousin of Kathy Rossolille.
