Nancy Schweik

Nancy Jane Schweik (nee Urbanski), of Bartlett, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023, in St. Charles, IL. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence; loving mother of Andrew (Kimberly) and Matthew (Laura); proud grandmother of Katelyn, Ann, Matthew, and Bradley; dear daughter of the late Joseph and the late Sylvia (nee Tulikangas) Urbanski and dear sister of Natalie (the late Steve) Wilburn and the late James Urbanski; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Nancy graduated from Notre Dame High School in Chicago and attended Northern Illinois University. She met Larry at Tractor Supply Company and they were married for nearly 60 years. They resided in Bartlett, Illinois, for approximately 50 years. After retirement in 1997, she and Larry spent the winter months in Mount Dora, Florida.

Nancy was a homemaker, avid golfer and loved playing tennis. She also enjoyed playing cards and mahjong with her friends at the Hanover Township Senior Center. Nancy was also an avid reader and enjoyed sharing reading time with her grandchildren through the years.

Nancy taught preschool at Living Lord Lutheran Church as well as religion classes at Resurrection Parish. She was a lector for many years and a member of St. Peter Damian Church in Bartlett.

Family and friends will meet Friday, January 13, at St. Peter Damian Church 131 South Crest, Bartlett, for Mass at 11:30 a.m. Private interment will be at a later date at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield, IL.
