A Memorial Mass for Muriel D. Kurz, 86 will be held Thursday 11:00a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church 6254 Valley Knoll Drive Rockford, IL 61109. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory in Illinois.
Born March 19, 1922 in Canada, she later moved to Milwaukee where she met her husband George at Mrs. Wagner’s Boarding House. They lived in the Milwaukee area for the next 30 years and moved to Highland, Indiana where they lived 40yrs. Muriel died September 27, 2008 in Illinois.
She is the beloved wife of 54yrs of the late George; loving mother of Monsignor Michael A. of Rockford, IL, George (Penny) of Schaumburg, IL, Robert (Kathy) of Millersville, MD, Mary Lou (Craig) Mackus of Brookfield, WI, Barbara Jean (Bruce) Luister of Highland, IN and David (Anne) of Munster, IN; Cherished grandmother of 14 and proud grandmother of 1; dear sister of Bernice (Morris) Weitkamp of Milwaukee, WI, Elaine (the late Jack) Kaster of Greenbay, WI , Barbara (Tom) Kuehn of Milwaukee, WI and the late Owen Somers.
