Mike Stein

Mike Stein, 70, of Morton Grove since 1992, died Saturday, August 24, 2024. Born November 23, 1953 in Chicago. He was known for being social, his sarcastic sense of humor and constant smile. He was an avid White Sox fan who enjoyed road trips, good food, beer with great company and cheap red wine. His biggest passion was always being with his family, especially his grandsons. Loving dad of Justine (Michael) Hess; cherished Pop Pop of Luca and Brooks; dear son of the late Isadore and Mildred Stein. He was a beloved nephew, cousin and great friend to many who he considered family. Memorial visitation 9:00am until time of memorial service at 11:00am on Friday, August 30, 2024 at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 95 S Gilbert St (at State St), South Elgin. Shiva will follow services. Cremation is private at the Countryside Crematory.
