Visitation for Micheline M. Midgett nee Perone of Hanover Park for 31 years will be held Sunday, August 22, 2021 11:00a.m. until time of prayers 12:30p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.) Streamwood/Schaumburg. Memorial service 1:00p.m. at Immanuel United Church of Christ 1500 Old Church Rd. Streamwood. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory.
Micheline is the beloved wife of 45 years of Terrye L.; loving mother of Lisa and Michelle Lucaccioni, Terri Lynn (Greg) Wood and John Warren (Melissa) Midgett; cherished grandmother of Lynette (Phil) Giacone, John Stout, Krystyna Skoneiczny, Clinton (Haven) Riley, Amanda Riley, Tristen Wood, Clayton and Jessie Midgett; proud great grandmother of Rebecca Grace Riley; dear sister of Annette (Don) Leiber and the late Jim and John (Joann) Perone; aunt of many loving nieces and nephews.
Micheline was born at Augustina Hospital in Chicago, Illinois on October 15, 1942. She was the daughter of Micheline Perone and Vincent James Perone. When she was twelve, her family moved to LaGrange where she attended Cossitt Grade School and Lyons Township High School. She enjoyed being a baton twirler and playing the violin.
She then married John Lucaccioni and had 2 children, Lisa and Michelle. They lived in Mt. Prospect, IL. After their divorce, she married Terrye Midgett who had 2 children, John and Terri Lynn, and moved to Hoffman Estates. She worked at The Barn in Barrington and as a secretary for Napco Steel. Then they moved to Streamwood and lived there for 12 years. During that time she worked for the 7/11 Corporation, the K-Mart Corporation, and the Breakaway Lounge. Then the family moved to Hanover Park where she lived for 31 years. During that time she was an accountant for Economy Corporation and then the Hancock Corporation. She was well known for her delicious mostaccolli and potato salad.
Following her retirement, she became an entrepreneur and began her own cross stitching business, Handcrafted Stitchery by Micheline. She was featured in the newspaper publicity for the Bartlett Woman’s Club 25th Annual Craft Fair. She was on the front page with her amazing cross stitched art piece of Elvis “The King.” She was honored when St. Ansgar Church of Hanover Park asked to display her cross stitched portrait of Pope John-Paul II for 3 months. Micheline and Terrye displayed her work at local craft shows for many years. This was her passion, and many people commissioned her work.
She was strong in her Catholic faith and felt she had a connection with Mother Mary. Micheline was a collector of angels and rosaries and enjoyed praying the rosary. She had a strong bond with her mother, Micheline, and her sister, Annette.
