Michael Tjemmes

Michael R. Tjemmes 66, of Beecher. Passed away May 26, 2011 after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. Beloved husband of 45 years to Jane (nee Donovan). Loving father of Michael(Sherri) Tjemmes and Michelle(Tom) Williamson. Proud grandfather of Donovan, Merideth Tjemmes, Cooper and Fletcher Williamson. Dear brother of Georgia Fazzini. Fond brother-in-law and uncle of many loving nieces and nephews. Mike was a retired employee of Commonwealth Edison. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage and could fix anything. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.He also loved to watch birds in his backyard and take nature walks to look for wildflowers. Visitation Wednesday June 1st from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Smits Funeral Homes-Steger Memorial Chapel (3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL.). Funeral Thursday 9:15am to St Mary Church, Park Forest Mass 10:00am. Burial will be Calvary Cemetery.
