Michael Thoma

Michael A. Thoma, 69, of Glendale Heights, formerly of Chicago, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Michael was a 1973 graduate of St. Benedict High School in Chicago and then graduated from Loyola University. He was a retired UPS driver after almost 40 years, and a devout Cubs fan. Beloved father of Joseph (Sheri) and Timothy (Marisela Lopez) Thoma; proud grandfather of Bryson (Sydney), Madilyn, Vander, and Kaden Thoma; dear brother of Barbara (the late Joseph) Thomas, Margaret (Kerry) Howe, the late Mary Ann Kimbler, and the late Dorothy Atamas; longtime companion of Valerie Garland and former father in law of Alison Bonner. Visitation Monday, February 17 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with a funeral service at 6:00pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 950 South Bartlett Rd. (at Stearns Rd.), Bartlett. Following services cremation private at Countryside Crematory. Inurnment at a later date at St. Boniface Cemetery Chicago, IL.
