Michael Romanenko; beloved husband of the late Tatiana; loving father of Nina (John Ireland) Romanenko and Michael Romanenko; cherished grandfather of Joshua, Alena, Zackary, Nikolas, Kathryn, Ashley and Alexis; dear brother of George (Lucy) Romanenko and the late Vasyl (the late Antonina) Romanenko and the late Vera Waslylenko; also survived by his dogs, Zoya, Schowvka and Knottingham.
He was a 15 year employee of Thorntons in South Elgin and he was a mechanical engineer for over 40 years with over 20 Government patents.
Visitation Wednesday, June 14th 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 95 S. Gilbert St., (at State St.) South Elgin. Funeral Thursday 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrews Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 300 East Army Trail Rd., Bloomingdale.
