Michael J. Poliszczuk

Michael J. Poliszczuk, a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 18th, 2026, at the age of 61. Born on Wednesday, June 2nd, 1965, Michael was a longstanding resident of Streamwood, IL, where he was known for his kindness, dedication, and infectious love of life.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Lorie A. Poliszczuk (née Suhrbier), and his cherished mother, Barbara Mcneely. He was a devoted brother to Chuck (Patti) Poliszczuk, Julia Goins, Diane (Gabriel) Gutierrez, Vincent (Linda) Poliszczuk, Robert Goins, and will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Poliszczuk, and his brother, Allen (Sue) Poliszczuk.

With 29 years of service at SAIA Motor Freight LTL and over two decades as a volunteer firefighter with the Streamwood Fire Department, Michael's commitment to his work and community was unparalleled. He was a passionate train enthusiast.

Visitation will be held at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory of Streamwood, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd., Streamwood, IL, on Monday, August 24th, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A funeral service will follow on Tuesday, August 25th, 2026, at 10:00 am, also at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory. Interment will take place at Lakewood Memorial Park in Elgin, Illinois, on the same day at 11:15 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Michael’s memory be made to Pancreatic Cancer Research.
